North Fork of Long Island AVA · 35 wineries · 3 breweries · 1 distillery · 2 cideries
The heart of the East End trail — wineries along Main Road and Oregon Road, plus farm breweries, a distillery, and cider rooms on Sound Avenue.
Most of the island’s tasting rooms sit on this fork. The AVA runs from the Riverhead line out to Orient, with the densest wine stretch between Jamesport and Southold.
Start west for a shorter day: Paumanok, Sound Avenue beer and cider, then Ev&Em or Jamesport. Drive east for the Sound at Kontokosta and dinner in Greenport. Oregon Road is the quiet back-road alternative to Main Road.
